The Cold Storage section begins with several grunts positioned around the lower area. Search for entrances on both sides of the storage complex, then battle the members blocking the route. The code is divided among multiple grunts rather than given by one NPC. The digits gathered in this sequence are 6, 4, and 3, producing the code 643.

A healing butterfly is available in the area. It can restore your team, although the investigation dialogue indicates that its behavior may depend on the player’s Karma. Use it before difficult battles whenever it is available.

After opening the back room, the group discovers that the operation is connected to explosives rather than the original missing-person lead. Risa survives the blast and explains that the device uses smaller bombs alongside two larger components. When the larger pieces touch, they trigger an explosion.

This branch does not directly solve the missing-student or stone-transformation mystery. Its value is investigative: it identifies a possible act of terrorism in the city and establishes that the perpetrators are working under an unknown leader.

The second investigation begins at the Botanical Garden. Lavender is initially unwilling to host Gym Battles because of the emotional impact of Talon’s transformation. After the confrontation is resolved, she opens the relevant area and explains why Talon’s disappearance has affected the group so deeply.

Talon’s room is on the top floor, but the ladder is raised. Because Talon normally kept it available for access to the balcony, the group treats this as evidence that he left through another route or deliberately concealed his destination.

Search the house before assuming the ladder is inaccessible. The rooms contain environmental clues, including gardening notes, personal belongings, and a box connected to the Teruma Weather Institute. These details support the wider investigation but do not immediately lower the ladder.

The process is unstable. Canon’s consciousness is not brought into the projection correctly, and the group has limited time to investigate. Interact with the available objects rather than wandering without a plan.

The projection reveals conversations about an expedition to Teruma and an experimental move designed to uproot diseased plants. These memories establish Talon’s relationships with the residents of the garden and show that he had plans extending beyond Grand Dream City.

The most important discovery is a red envelope. Its letter claims that Talon’s mother will meet him at Club NightLight at 11:30. The message is suspicious because Talon’s mother is bedbound and could not make the journey described in the letter.

The party concludes that Talon likely read the letter, left through the balcony, and avoided telling the others where he was going. The raised ladder may therefore reflect the way he departed rather than a mechanism that must be activated from below.

Club NightLight is the next destination. During the day, the club is too crowded to investigate properly, so the party must return when it is open at night. Entering at the wrong time produces little useful evidence and can make the route appear incomplete.

At night, the club is nearly empty. An employee states that it will close at 10:30, contradicting the letter’s claimed meeting time of 11:30. This discrepancy confirms that the letter was designed to mislead Talon rather than arrange a legitimate appointment.

The club owner, Adam, also creates an identity problem. He resembles someone the group believes it already knows, but he insists that they have never met. This scene reinforces a recurring investigation theme: appearances and memories cannot be trusted at face value.

The first metaphysical search shows only one artifact. It confirms that Talon was present at the club before the letter’s supposed appointment. In the reconstructed scene, Talon confronts someone claiming to be his mother. The figure responds cruelly, creating a powerful emotional trace rather than a straightforward explanation.

The projection then becomes unstable when Risa appears in the real-world venue. Alakazam’s reconstruction is affected by the crowd and the sudden change in the environment. The party must fight through the venue to stabilize the connection.

The club sequence ends when the party defeats Alakazam and the projection collapses. The group does not receive a complete explanation immediately, but the scene confirms that the club was part of a deliberate deception involving impersonation and altered identities.

The investigation includes several battles that can be difficult because enemy levels are high and some opponents use strong physical attacks. One notable challenger uses Steel Pokémon, including Aegislash and another powerful Steel threat. Fire and Ground coverage are especially valuable in that encounter.

For the Alakazam battle, the field and setup mechanics make the opening turns important. Alakazam can raise its offensive power, and a defensive screen may reduce damage from special attackers. Avoid giving it several free turns.
